Tsinghua-INSEAD Dual Degree EMBA Programme

About the Programme

The School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University and INSEAD have established a partnership to launch a dual degree EMBA programme in June 2007.

This Dual Degree Executive MBA programme takes place on a part-time modular basis over a period of 18 months.

Classes for the first intake will begin in June 2007, with the graduation ceremony to be held in January 2009.

The teaching will be conducted at both the INSEAD Asia Campus in Singapore and the TsinghuaUniversity in Beijing. One module of the programme will take place at the Europe Campus in Fontainebleau, France .

To allow participants to continue working, the programme is divided into several modules (approximately every six to seven weeks). To allow businessmen and women to optimise their travelling, each period on campus is of five days' duration (Monday AM - Saturday lunch), with one module of two weeks. A thesis is part of the graduation requirements.

Application Requirements

Qualifications.  Applicants shall meet the EMBA student standard as required by both INSEAD and TsinghuaUniversity.  Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree or the equivalent, with the exception of those who are outstanding senior-level business executives with a substantive amount of work experience, but who graduated without a Bachelor's degree from a 2 to 3 year programme at state-accredited colleges/universities.

Work experience.  Applicants shall have a minimum of eight years' working experience, with a minimum of five years' managerial experience.

The students are expected to be executives and professional managers worldwide, especially in the Asia Pacific area.

Diversity.  Both institutes agree that diversity is a source of learning and enrichment. Learning should be free from any dominant culture or prevalent dogma.

In order to maintain the diversity of the programme, students working outside of mainland China will account for at least 50% of the total enrolment of the EMBA students.
