CHEMBA was approved by the Education Ministry of China and the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council in 1999. After successfully completing the courses, the participants will receive the MBA Degree from University of Minnesota, which is fully accredited by the Association to Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).

Nineteen alumni and professors have ever achieved Nobel Prize. Among the alumni, there is an ex-doyen-judiciary of USA, two ex-presidents of America, as well as many tycoons who are ranking top 500 by fortune in America. The University of Minnesota has obtained 239 patents for the research accomplishments in the past five years, supporting to establish 35 new companies. It created lots of top-ranking technologies and inventions: the flight recorder (black box) for aircraft, the retractable seat belt for cars, the heart pacemaker and cardiopulmonary etc. Furthermore, the University of Minnesota carried the first successful open-heart surgery in the human history; owns the biggest kidney transplant institute of the world; the scientists of the University of Minnesota cultivated and released more than 80 new crop varieties.

The University of Minnesota and China have a long standing relationship. In 1914, the first group of Chinese students studied at the University of Minnesota. So far, there are more than 8000 Chinese alumni who have ever studied and worked at the University of Minnesota. Nowadays, there are almost 1400 Chinese students and scholars studying at the University of Minnesota annually, which made it become the university with most Chinese students in North America.

Carlson School of Management (CSOM) was founded in 1919. The first MBA Program of CSOM started in 1937, the first Doctor’s Degree Program started in 1948 and the Part-time MBA project started in 1960. CSOM is located in a modern building of the University of Minnesota. The top-ranking faculties as well as the vigorous enterprise communities around provide an ideal environment for the leaders of enterprises to have a deep understanding with their business even in the future.
